        At Amarnath cave Shiva recounted to Parvati about creation. This Yatra is sacramental.·

        Navroz Festival is celebrated by Shia Muslims for nine days.·

        Baisakhi or Vaisakh is celebrated as first month of Hindu calendar.·

        The snow festival is organized by Dept. of Tourism of J&K at Gulmarg.·

        On Diwali people of Jammu decorate their houses.·

        Mansar Food & Crafts Mela is organized by J&K Tourism Dept. at Baiskh in April.·

        Tihar is celebrated in Badarwah & Kishtwar on Chaitra in March-April.·

        Baisakhi is new year for Sikhas, on this day Guru, Gobind Singh Ji formed Khalsa Sect in 1699.·

        Purmandal Mela celebrated on Maha Shivratri for wedding of Shiva & Parvati.·

        Bahu Mela is celebrated in Bahu Fort twice in March-April & Sept.-Oct.·

        Lohri is celebrated in Spring on 13th Jan. Chajja dance is performed on this day.·

        Jhiri Mela remembers the sacrifice of Baba Jitto and is celebrated in Jhiri in Jammu on Oct.-Nov.
